Delegations, roundtables and one forum a year.

The council runs a programme rather than a diary. Roundtables for senior ASEAN visitors in London, ministerial briefings, an annual UK-ASEAN Business Forum with ASEAN and UK Ministers, and business delegations into the region around the ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting and the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit.

The fixtures

The recurring programme, each one named on their own pages. The fifth annual forum was held in March 2026.

The UK-ASEAN Business Forum

The annual forum with ASEAN and UK Ministers. The fifth was held on 17 March 2026 at HSBC’s global headquarters in Canary Wharf, London, and brought together more than 100 senior government officials, business leaders and industry experts.

The ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting

The council leads UK business input at the UK Consultation held alongside the annual ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting, and runs its own programme around it for partners and invited guests.

The ASEAN Business and Investment Summit

The council leads a UK business delegation to the summit hosted by the ASEAN Chair. In 2025 the Chair led fifteen senior UK business leaders to Kuala Lumpur for the summit and a curated programme of side engagements.

The Joint Business Council Meeting

As a formal member of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council’s Joint Business Council, the council takes part in the JBC meetings held through the ASEAN Chair’s year.

Early notice of forthcoming visits, meetings and related opportunities, exclusive to partners.

Roundtables and dialogues

Closed sessions with Ministers, Ambassadors, Heads of Mission and the Secretary-General of ASEAN, hosted in London and across the region.
